Description

Osetron 8 mg contains ondansetron, a selective serotonin (5-HT3) receptor antagonist used to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting associated with:

• Cancer chemotherapy
• Radiotherapy
• Surgical procedures (post-operative nausea and vomiting)

How It Works

Ondansetron blocks 5-HT3 (serotonin) receptors involved in the vomiting reflex, helping to prevent nausea and vomiting.

Indications

• Prevention of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
• Prevention of radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
• Prevention and treatment of post-operative nausea and vomiting

Dosage

The dose depends on the condition being treated and the patient’s age. For some chemotherapy regimens, adults may receive 8 mg before treatment followed by additional doses as prescribed by a physician.
